A RICHMOND ORIGINAL collects only what is needed to run the program. We don't sell member information. We don't share lists. If it's in the directory, it's public. Everything else stays between us.
When a brand becomes A RICHMOND ORIGINAL, certain information is displayed publicly in the directory, on the RVA Brand Wall, and across A RICHMOND ORIGINAL's website and social media channels. This includes: brand name, logo, description, category, location, website URL, and social media links.
This information is publicly accessible. Search engines, crawlers, and anyone browsing the site can see it. By becoming a certified member, brands consent to this public display. That's the whole point — we're putting them on the map.
Personal email addresses, phone numbers (unless the member chooses to include them in a listing), payment information, and private correspondence stays private. Period.
A RICHMOND ORIGINAL does not sell data. Does not rent it. Does not give contact lists to sponsors, partners, or anyone else. Does not send emails from third parties. Member information is used to manage membership and communicate about the program. That's it.
All payments are processed through a secure third-party payment processor. A RICHMOND ORIGINAL never sees, stores, or has access to credit card numbers or banking details. Payment processing is handled entirely under the processor's own security and privacy standards.
A RICHMOND ORIGINAL uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the website — things like which pages get visited, how long visitors stay, and what devices they use. This data is aggregated and anonymous. It cannot be used to personally identify anyone. It's used to make the site better. Standard stuff.
The site uses cookies for analytics and basic functionality. A RICHMOND ORIGINAL does not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building profiles. If a browser blocks cookies, the site still works fine.
When someone submits the contact form, the name, email, and message are used solely to respond to the inquiry. Contact form submissions are not added to any mailing list unless specifically requested.

If meaningful changes are made to this privacy policy, the date at the top will be updated and, if appropriate, current members will be notified. A RICHMOND ORIGINAL will not retroactively change how data that has already been shared is handled.
